How to submit an invoice in NetSuite? (Upload a Vendor Bill)
Please note, a vendor must be in the system in order to create a vendor bill. If the vendor does not exist, a new vendor profile must be created before a bill can be manually uploaded
- Click the New Transaction button as shown below
- Enter in the Invoice Number provided by the vendor.
- Select the Vendor from the drop-down list and the vendor information will automatically fill out the appropriate fields
- Ensure the date is correct, this date will be the date of the actual invoice
- Once done, please use the description field to briefly summarize what the bill is for.
- Please use the date of the actual Invoice within the Date data field
- Complete the classification section to give more detail about the Sun Subsidiary and the Class Property. Use the drop-down menu to make your selection, or manually enter the property abbreviation to find it.
- Code the bill (see sections above), then click Save or click Save and return to the bill later for coding.
