Creating a Promo Code in NetSuite

Property managers can generate promo codes to provide applicants that will discount/waive the application fee when the customer enters the code in the Customer Portal. These promo codes can be set up for one-time use by a single customer, or for multiple uses by more than one customer. In the event that the property is offering an application fee discount for a limited time only, the promo codes can be programmed with specific start and end times.

 

1. Hover over Sales Process, hover over Application Promo Codes, click List.
   • Note: The list will display previous promo codes, both active and expired. Update the Approval Status filter to see promo codes that are pending approval or rejected.
2. Click New Promo Code Setup
   • 
3. Click the Application Type dropdown and select the application type that the promo code applies to.
   
   • 
4. Select whether the promo code is Multiple Use or Single Use.
   
   • 
5. Enter the amount that the promo code will subtract from the application fee.
   
   • 
6. Enter the Effective From and Effective To dates. This is the period during which the promo code can be used.
   
   • 
7. If desired, enter a description/reason for creating the promo code.
   
   • 
8. Click Save & Submit for Approval.
